JVC Announces New Large Format Camcorder GY-DV5000U at WEVA

Earlier this week JVC announced a new full size camcorder at the Wedding and Event VIdeographers Conference in Las Vegas. The JVC GY-DV5000U records to MiniDV tape utilizing three CCDs.

The camcorder includes 12-bit A/D converter and DSP, .4 LUX shooting mode, 800 lines of resolution, 63dB S/N ratio, a soft sholder pad, a 2.5 in LCD screen, 2 XLR ports, and many other profesional features.

The JVC GY-DV5000U will ship in November with an expected MSRP of $4999.
