Canopus Corporation announced the May 27th release of its new OHCI-based analog/dv capture card called ''ACEDVio''™, calling it ''the only OHCI-based video editing solution to deliver analog and DV capture and output with native OHCI support for all popular video cameras and decks." While the card will be bundled with the full version of Sonic Foundry's® Vegas 4.0™ and Ulead's® DVD MovieFactory 2.0 SE™ , Canopus claims the card will also be compatible with a host of other non-linear editing programs, such as Windows Movie Maker™, Adobe Premiere™, Final Cut Pro™, and Xpress DV™, among others.
Canopus further claims the card will support easy connection for a number of OHCI-based peripherals, including scanners, digital still cameras, and storage devices.
The card will work on both Mac and Windows platforms, and is expected to retail for $499. (U.S.)
