InterVideo, Inc., maker of the popular WinDVD playback and recording software for PCs, has added Decisionmark’s TitanTV Electronic Program Guide (EPG) to its latest release of WinDVD Recorder.
Now users can search TitanTV’s EPG using key words to find the time and channel of their favorite TV shows. Combined with WinDVD Recorcorder’s ability to record in real time to a number of DVD and CD formats, users can record their favorite programs straight to DVD or CD without capturing to a computer’s hard drive first. This new feature provides users of WinDVD Recorder the functionality of a VCR with the quality and convenience of DVD.
WinDVD Recorder will also record in real time from other video sources, such as camcorders, digital TV tuners, or VCRs.
Support for CD, (VCD and SVCD also new to WinDVD Recorder), DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD-RAM, WinDVD Recorder ends confusion about formats and compatibility. InterVideo claims DVDs created with WinDVD Recorder will ''automatically play on any consumer electronics player or recorder with support for DVD +/-VR and DVD Video Format.''
WinDVD is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP, and is available for download on InterVideo’s web site at www.intervideo.com. The program will list for $149.95 (U.S.) but is being offered for an introductory price of $119.95 (U.S.)
