Panasonic has announced a new addition to the Proline family of camcorders - the AG-DVC80 featuring three 1/3 in. 410K CCDs. The camcorder includes many of the features and is aimed at the profesional market.
In their press material Panasonic said that the camcorder includes a similar form as the AG-DVX100. The camcorder can record in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, includes two XLR inputs, a Firewire input and includes many other features.
The AG-DVC80 weighs just 4.2 pounds and has a horizontal resolution rated above 500 lines. The camcorder also includes a ''precision wide-angle Leica Dicomar lens.'' Panasonic said the camcorder will be available in June for $3,295.
