The AG-EZ30U is made by Panasonics professional division and has an MSRP of $2,850.00. It is a quality camcorder available for a relatively low price. The camcorder has 3 CCDS, which are going to capture high quality pictures and give you a high-resolution image. The 2.5-inch LCD screen has a color viewfinder, which actually folds against the camcorder. The camcorder has an IEEE1394 FireWire editing protocol, which allows a digital transfer of your video to a computer so you can edit it. The zoom is small, just 12x, but it is okay because other features compensate for it. There is a 120x digital zoom, which always degrades the quality of the picture when used. The AG-EZ30U puts SMTPE time code onto the tape. This feature does not often appear on pro-sumer camcorders but allows it to be easily integrated into a professional editing system. The camcorder has a manual focus ring and a good remote, which permits editing with the camcorder. Because it is professional, it gives you all the manual features that you need. Those manual features allow you to tweak the picture much more than any consumer camcorder.

The AG-EZ30U is great for a professional videographer. It captures quality images and gives the control that is necessary to create good picture. Its affordable and, although it is somewhat old, it continues to capture great images. In fact, the price is low because its an old camcorder, so the EZ30U is great for an event videographer on a tight budget.
