Panasonic has announced new digital camcorders at CES. We don't have a ton of details on them quite yet but they are upgrading their line and adding an invoative digital still camera camcorder combination.
We don't have a ton of info on the Panasonic's, we'll have more tomorow. However here is what we know so far.
Pansonic has incorporated three 1/6 in (410 K pixel) CCD's into PV-DV952, increasing the overal resolution over the 951. The camcorder has optical image stabilization and a focus ring. The PV-DV852, is similar to the 952 but with one MegaPixel CCD. Panasonic has added pop-up flashes to the camcorders and also the ability to record voice memo's onto the SD cards (useless upgrade anyone?).
Panasonic has also upgraded older camcorders releasing the PV-DV402 and PV-DV52. We aren't quite clear on how these camcorders are improved. We're doing some investigation and we'll have an update on the site tomorow with more information. Make sure to check back with Camcorderinfo.com for all the latest camcorder and digital video news from CES.
