On February 24th Panasonic announced two new ultra compact digital palmcorders, the PV-DC152 and PV-DC252. The camcorders are designed for small portable use.
Both camcorders feature a 10x optical, 700x digital zoom. Both feature a FireWire port and a RS-232C port for transferring digital stills from the camcorder to the computer. The PV-DC152 stores digital stills on tape while the PV-DC252 has a built in SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard slot and comes with a 8MB card to store digital stills on. The PV-DC252 also includes a USB port for transferring those stills from camcorder to computer.
Both camcorders should be available this month, with the PV-DC152 having an MSRP of $899.95 and the PV-DC252 having an MSRP of $999.95.
