JVC today announced two Pocket PC Personal Digital Assistant models designed to work in multimedia situations, including interfacing with JVC camcorders. Both the MP-PV131 and the MP-PV131 include features for working with digital media content. The MP-PV331 includes software to capture MPEG4 video and stream video wirelessly when connected to a compatible JVC camcorder.
Today, Microsoft released the latest version of it's Pocket PC software Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs. The new Pocket PCs support MP3, WAV and OGG compressed audio files, and AVI (MPEG4) and ASF MPEG4) video files.
The MP-PV331 also includes the ability to stream and capture MPEG4 video, however the company did not specify how exactly the device hooks up to a camcorder. The MP-PV331 and MP-PV131 will be available in September for $499.95 and $599.95 respectively.
