Quickie: Sony Swiss Releases New MiniDV Camcorders, Includes DCR-IP55

Sony Swiss has released the overseas versions of the MiniDV DCR-TRV16/18 and the DCR-TRV50. Sony also released the DCR-IP55, which they released earlier this year in Japan.

One issue of concern is that Sony did not released the DCR-IP55 in the U.S. when they released the new MiniDV models. Whether or not Sony plans to release the IP55, a MicroMV camcorder with many great upgrades over the DCR-IP5 and 7, in the U.S. is unknown.
