SmartDisk Announces New FireWire Drives

SmartDisk today announced new FireWire hard drives with a maximum capacity of 100GB. The hard drives can connect to any Macintosh computer or an Windows PC with IEEE 1394 FireWire ports.

The newly available 100 GB hard drive will provide consumers and professionals who work with digital video lots of needed space to store their projects. SmartDisk is offering drives in 40, 60, 80 and 100 GigaByte sizes. They will retail for $299.95, $349.95, 449.95, and $499.95 respectively. The 60 and 80 GB models are available now and the 40 and 100 GB models will be availablke in October.
