Sony Announces 256MB, 512MB and 1GB Memory Sticks

The new Memory Sticks include MagicGate copyright protection technology which prevents copying certain material. Sony has also announced a new Memory Stick Select 256MB Memory Stick. This flash card is actually made up of two smaller 128MB Memory Sticks, with a switch to determine which one you access. This stick provides current Memory Stick Standard devices (most devices out there) with higher capacity memory.

The Memory Stick Select 256MB stick will sell for $135, with the 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities, selling for $150, $320 and $640, respectively.
