StudioQuartet Integrates Ulead’s Top Digital Media Software on one DVD-ROM for Creative Professionals

According to their press release StudioQuartet offers videographers comprehensive digital media tools for image editing, graphics creation, 3D text and object animation, and full-resolution, real-time video editing, including rotoscoping and powerful CG tools. It also includes advanced DVD authoring and support for a wide range of traditional and emerging format types including MicroMV and DVD-VR. StudioQuartet is expected to ship June 1st, 2003 for $795 for the first 90 days and $895 thereafter.

With StudioQuartet, Ulead capitalizes on its expertise in both markets to create a complete digital media collection that marries an what's said to be an intuitive workflow with powerful, high-end technology. StudioQuartet is said to meet the professional videographer’s need for a complete digital media solution while it meets the prosumer’s desire for an accessible digital media tool kit that they will not outgrow as his skills improve.

In their press release Unlead provided list of what StudioQuartet has to offer videographers on one DVD:

Image Editing -- Capture, edit, and manipulate digital images for use as video overlays in video production or as menus and chapter buttons in DVD authoring. Design images for web design or DVD labels and covers.

3D Text and Object Animation -- Create high-end animated 3-D models, logos and text to be used as video overlays or as motion buttons for DVDs. Choose from a meld of composition flexibility for professional-level control with an array of time-saving, pre-set options for fast graphic generation.

Video Editing -- Capture DV and MPEG video in real-time, then combine with stills and 3-D models created within StudioQuartet, and edit video productions with a wide range of effects and filters. See editing decisions immediately in full-resolution, either in the preview screen or on a second display device.

DVD Authoring -- Author and burn ''professional-level'' DVD’s with flexible menu authoring features that provides precise control over DVD menu design.

StudioQuartet includes PhotoImpact 8, Ulead’s flagship image editor, COOL 3D Studio, MediaStudio Pro 7, Ulead’s professional video editor with category-leading, software-only, real-time, full-resolution preview and output, and DVD Workshop AC3, Ulead’s award-winning, advanced DVD authoring software. StudioQuartet will include a full set of royalty-free content along with an integrated software manual.
