Packed with two lenses and two sensors, the Everio GS-TD1 is JVC's take on a 3D camcorder aimed at consumers. The unit's bulky design is strange, that's for sure, but the amount of controls and options in 3D mode are unprecedented for a 3D camcorder. The TD1 is also capable of capturing top-notch 2D video, and its 3D lens calibration system is entirely automated, which makes it fairly simple to switch between the two modes.

The GC-PX10 represents JVC's latest attempt at making a true photo/video "hybrid" device, which is something the company has been toying with over the last couple of years.

Despite the misleading text on the side of the JVC Everio GZ-HM960, the camcorder does not record 3D video. It's a regular HD camcorder with a 3D conversion feature and a glasses-free 3D LCD. The camcorder also has a low-quality slow motion record mode, a time-lapse record function, and a host of still image features.

With a $200 price tag, the GZ-HM450 is one of JVC's cheapest Everio camcorders.

With its f/11 sensitivity and three 1/3-inch CMOS sensors, the JVC GY-HM650 is certainly an intriguing camcorder for professional news gatherers. It's JVC's incorporation of dual HD codecs, a variety of file format options, and the inclusion of built-in FTP and WiFi connectivity that takes the GY-HM650 to the next level.

The GZ-HD620 is a mid-range HD camcorder from JVC that records to an internal 120GB hard drive as well as offering a MicroSD card slot. The camcorder is low on frills, captures high-quality video, and has a reasonable price tag of $649.

p. The GC-WP10 ($199 MSRP) is part of JVC's second-generation of Picsio camcorders (the other being the GC-FM2). JVC didn't do much to improve performance on the new camcorder, but it did include a 3-inch touchscreen and a waterproof design. Unfortunately, neither of these features are implemented very well.

p. JVC’s newest flagship model, the Everio GZ-HM1 ($1199 MSRP), looks nearly identical to its predecessor, the GZ-HM400. Other than a new silver paint job, JVC’s biggest alteration comes in the form of a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that did wonders in improving the low light performance of this new model.

The GZ-HM340 from JVC is a new entry-level HD camcorder that performs like a solid mid-range model. Its performance is on par with that of last year's GZ-HM200 from JVC, but it lacks most manual controls and its design leaves something to be desired.

As far as mid-range HD camcorders go, the JVC GZ-HM200 ($579 MSRP) is a solid product. The sister-model to the GZ-HD300, the HM200 includes dual SD/SDHC memory card slots and offers a fairly straightforward shooting experience. The camcorder has some handling issues—marred by cheap construction and a flimsy hand strap—but, overall, it's a good mid-range model from JVC.

The newly announced JVC Picsio GC-FM1 (MSRP $199) arrives on the camcorder market with a bit less glitz than the metallic surface it sports. At first glance, the Picsio is just another Flip clone, trying to carve a piece out of the ultracompact camcorder marker. Beneath the surface, the Picsio provides some impressive quality video that is, unfortunately, accompanied by a body design that lacks durability and reliability.
