Sony HDR-TD10
The twin lens system featured prominently on the front of the Sony HDR-TD10 should tell you one thing: this is a camcorder that can record 3D video.

Sony HDR-CX700V
Sony's newest high-end camcorder—the Handycam HDR-CX700V—offers Full HD 60p and 24p recording, as well as a traditional 60i record mode. These new frame rate options, along with the camcorder's 96GB of internal flash memory, make it one of the more intriguing flagship models to hit the shelves in 2011.

Sony HDR-PJ30V
The Sony Handycam HDR-PJ30V ($959 MSRP) seems like your average mid-range HD camcorder—until you notice there's a built-in video projector on the back of the camcorder's LCD. The projector is far from perfect, but it could be a valuable tool for those who want to recap their footage without the presence of an HDTV.

Sony HDR-CX160
The Handycam HDR-CX160 is a small, entry-level HD camcorder from Sony that retails for $499. The camcorder is an update of last year's HDR-CX150, and we were impressed by the additions and enhancements Sony made to the new model, which include a 1080/60p record mode, 30x optical zoom lens, and a 3-inch touchscreen LCD.

Sony HDR-CX150
The HDR-CX150 ($499 MSRP) is an entry-level camcorder from Sony's Handycam line of HD camcorders. The camcorder is compact and occasionally wowed us in our performance tests, but it lacks many advanced controls that you see on the higher-end models.

Sony MHS-FS3
We've put the new Sony 3D Bloggie through the ringer, to see if this little camcorder can match up to the other 3D cameras we have tested so far.

Sony Touch MHS-TS10
The Bloggie Touch MHS-TS10 ($179 MSRP) is Sony's newest ultracompact camcorder, and its name should give you a hint about its key feature—a 3-inch touchscreen LCD. The Bloggie Touch isn't simply an upgrade over last year's Bloggie camcorders from Sony (the MHS-PM5 and MHS-CM5), it's a completely different camcorder with unique features and a stylish design.

Sony Live MHS-TS55
The Sony Bloggie Live MHS-TS55 has one unique feature that sets it apart from the other ultracompact models on the block—WiFi capability.

Sony NEX-FS700
The Sony NEX-FS700 has a lot of things going for it. It can record slow-motion Full HD video at 120 or 240fps, or it can record up to 960fps at lower resolutions. It has an E-Mount lens system, which means it works with Sony's lot of NEX lenses, or you can expand its compatibility with the purchase of a lens adapter. The camcorder is also "4K-ready", which means Sony will announce a firmware upgrade at some point in the future that will enable the FS700 to output 4K video via its 3G HD-SDI terminal.

Sony HDR-PJ760V
With the Handycam HDR-PJ760V, Sony brings high-end features and controls to its projector-camcorder. The built-in video projector is certainly the most unique feature on the PJ760V, but the camcorder is also a well-rounded model that would be a good choice for pros or consumers looking for a top-of-the-line video recording device.

Sony HDR-XR350V

The Sony HDR-XR350VThe Handycam HDR-XR350V is a mid-range HD camcorder from Sony that offers solid video performance, but is low on manual controls. The $999 price tag of the HDR-XR350V may sound steep, but a lot of that cost goes into the 160GB hard drive that is built into the camcorder's right side.
